Josh Keyes’ “Implosion” at Thinkspace Gallery.
Opening Saturday, August 5th, 2017 at Thinkspace Gallery in Culver City, California is the highly anticipated solo exhibition from artist Josh Keyes entitled “Implosion.”
For “Implosion,” the artist’s first Los Angeles exhibition in a decade, Portland-based Keyes’ has created a number of truly striking, “eco-surrealist” paintings that offer cautionary parables of humanity’s disastrous effect on nature. Here, in Keyes’ vision of the not so distant future, evidence of our existence is shown by our very own detrimental artifacts being overcome, though scarred, by the wild and beautiful resilience of nature.
“Implosion” will be on view until August 26th, 2017 and I truly wish I could go see it with my own eyes (so please, go see it for me!).
